We would like to thank  the Agrocluster Ribatejo to welcome us in Portugal and to introduce us to its country.

The Agrocluster Ribatejo is an association of companies and entities in the agro-industrial sector, whose main objective is the development of the agro-industrial sector and the increase of the companies competitiveness. It is currently made up by 70 members, among them companies (mainly), entities of the SCTN (National Scientific and Technological System), Higher Education Institutes, Business Associations and Public Entities. Is formally recognized by the Portuguese Government since 2009. The Agrocluster companies represents more than 1.600 M€ turn-over, 5.000 jobs and 400 M€ exportation (more than 40% Region export). The territory (operation area) is Ribatejo & Alentejo, mainly irrigated land and especially areas related to “Alqueva”, a water reservation zone; all of it represents 60% of the Portuguese agricultural area in use (see attached file for localization).
